What is it that nurtures you? At first glance this question might seem frivolous or unrelated to your life. That’s understandable since we are conditioned to focus upon our work. If we live our life only concentrating on our career, burnout is sure to follow. Consider placing some attention on what nurtures you.
Start small. Begin with thinking about what uplifts you, notice what gives you energy, inspires you, makes you feel fit, centered or calm and happy during your day. These are the areas that support you in your life. They are a part of self-care and are what nurturing you is all about.
Acknowledge those things that drain you, tire you out, cause you stress and bring your energy down. Doing this is important because these are the opposite of self-care. Continuing to do too much of them destroys your well-being.
In order to nurture yourself commit to doing one small action today that lifts you. Also, let go of or modify one thing this week that drains you. If you add in nurturing things and release unsupportive ones you will begin to experience a lightness and appreciation for your life. This takes commitment and consistency. Nurture yourself each day and you begin to foster a life that cherishes you.

“Once upon a time when the wind was new, I had a dream and created you.” The thought in my mind as I awoke today. It captured my attention. I began to wonder about the concept of being fashioned when the wind was still young.
The topic of whether intelligence, science or something much larger conceived of us is another conversation. No matter if you believe in some omnipresent being behind the design or in science alone, go with me for a moment.
Imagine for minute or two that we were dreamt into being long, long ago. It sort of shifts your awareness to the magnificent possibilities that exist within your being. How could it not? I find it difficult to believe that all of the planning to bring us here would not include absolute radiance!
What if my thought is true? How might if shift your life, your dreams and your space in the world if you knew that you really began when the wind was new? I am hoping that it sparks your imagination toward breathing life more fully into your being. What would it take for you to start living from the ancient, creative being that you are in true reality?

Intention is all about where you focus your attention. It’s the actions created based upon what it is that you want. Consider intention the plan that you have made to get there.
We all know that some intentions get swept away much like the waves erasing writing in the sand. What then makes our intention come into existence?
Commitment and a clearly drawn out strategy ensure the probability of success. Sharing your intention and the design for bringing it forth with another person makes it more real. Adding some measure of accountability to that conversation can make a difference in following through on your intentions.
Intentions are the whispers of our hopes. Follow them.
People sometimes let fear limit their dreams and goals that they hold for their lives. These worries might be running under the surface of conscious thought. Whether the fears are known or a vague anxiety they still function as blocks or constrictions in realizing the goals for our lives.
Happily, these restrictions can be lifted. If you would like to know more about how that might be possible please contact me at: email@example.com.
Start living your dreams.
What are the key necessities to moving forward in your life? Can you name those ingredients that propel you toward your dreams and purpose? Knowing them gives you some of the tools to bring the vision for your life into being. Take some time today to make a note of them. Wishing you bliss on the journey to living your dreams.
Living in the “Land of the Free” and feeling free might be considered as an automatic compliment to each other. In an ideal world that concept would be true. For any of you living in this country or others where feeling free is not your experience here are some tips toward gaining a feeling of liberation.
First, think about some things that you want. Then, design some goals one at a time using this process. Clarify what lifts you up or makes life flow with ease as you come up with a goal. Next, design the steps you can take to accomplish the goal. Break it down into realistic, attainable steps. Determine what, if any, obstacles are in the way or may get in the way. Come up with a plan to remove the blocks or view them from a new perspective that can support your goals. Now do the action steps and clear or re-frame any impediments. When you realize your goal take time to celebrate and find a way to reward yourself for making it happen!
As you become more tuned to what you want based upon what is truly meaningful to you, freedom becomes the lift to give you flight. You begin to feel as if you are effortlessly gliding. Wishing you a glorious and liberating trip!

“We all need a sacred witness in life, a person who can listen without judgment while knowing the right questions to ask that continually illuminate our path.” – Caroline Myss – This quote is the essence of Life Coaching.
In Life Coaching people work on their goals, dreams and desires for their life. Within an environment of non-judgment, clients create action steps toward their goals and learn to identify and remove any obstacles in the way of moving forward.
The International Coach Foundation offers this definition of Life Coaching: “Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.
In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.

Beyond the physical need for sustenance there is a hunger. It is an aspect of us that transcends the feeding of the body and the mind. We could term it our spirit, perhaps even our soul and it requires nourishment too.
We can provide food for the body and stimulus for the mind but without fuel for the spirit we can feel stressed out or wonder what is missing from our lives.
Nurturing our spirit renews us while bringing forth our essential light. Nourishment for the spirit and soul can be anything that lifts us and lets us shine. A walk in nature, observing the wonder of children, laughter with good friends, art, dancing, a faith practice are all examples that may nourish us.
The challenge is in discovering what gives you nourishment for your spirit? Once you do, make it a priority for your day. Every day that you give to nourishing your self brings you moments of beauty and deep contentment.
We could all use a bit more of those qualities. What will you do today for nourishment?
