Selling Ourselves Short

It has recently come to my attention that many of us are selling ourselves short. We consistently and routinely accept so much less than our true value. This happens in our relationships with other people, in our relationship to money and in our relationship with ourselves. This theme has been prevalent all around me.

What is it that makes us settle for so much less than our value? Could it be that we have been so conditioned to believe that we are unworthy or that our value is so miniscule? There may be a multitude of reasons this holds true for you specifically. Regardless of what it happens to be, let me offer a reminder. It is this: You are imbued with the same Divine spark as the stunning sunset or the raging sea. If your belief does not include a transcendent Being or Beings think of yourself as imbued with the Spirit of life. You are no less valuable than the sunset or the sea. In fact you are quite magnificent! There is not another creation exactly like you.

My challenge to you this day is to consider the value you have been placing on yourself. Does it honor the Divine spark or Spirit of life within you? If the answer is anything other than a loud and resounding, “Yes” then you are selling yourself short. Stand up for your worth, your true value. We do this by discovering and uncovering the truth of our essence inside of us. Then we no longer sell ourselves short, instead our lives become ever richer in all measures.
